5.23 Yellow & Green Parti Colored Sapphire
This unique stone appears to be mainly green when viewed face up. One tip is a darker green and the far tip is leaf green . The center appears lemon yellow. It is only when then stone is turned over that we can clearly see that the sapphire is a rare parti colored gemstone.
Sapphires which display two or more colors in a single stone are called “parti colored” sapphires. These multi colored gemstones are the natural result of exposure to different chemicals during formation and are found is far fewer numbers than blue or single colored sapphires. No two parti colored sapphires are the same , offering their owner the ability to possess a truly individual gemstone. Grades as GIA : bG 5/5 Obvious color zoning
